Mastering Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of NowA couple days ago I received an invitation for a free online course from my friends at Integral Life. The course focuses on understanding and applying Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now,” a great book which I highly recommend. Now, there’s a lot of these free courses and offers out there and I’m a little skeptical of some of them, but this one features some teachers that really catch my interest, especially Ken Wilber and Byron Katie. I listened to the first recording, an interview with Zen Master Genpo Roshi, last night and I’ve decided to invite my readers to check it out. So… Here are the links and info. Enjoy! (PS- yes, this is highly relevant stuff for improving your relationship) If you’re already interested click here: www.masteringthepowerofnow.com/?=ILP This free online course (which you can share with anyone) features world-renowned spiritual teachers, many that you are already familiar with if you’re an Integral fan: • Ken Wilber, philosopher, author, spiritual teacher, and founder of Integral Institute, Integral Life, and the Integral Spiritual Center… • A map that makes sense of “the now,” of spirituality, and spiritual practice in general You’ll also receive a transcript of each lesson making it easier to review and master the information it contains. To enroll—at no charge whatsoever, no secret hidden fees, it’s just a gift to you—click here: www.masteringthepowerofnow.com/?=ILP 2 Responses to “Mastering Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now”Leave a Reply |

I found Roshi’s segment to be full of ego and tempered only by a seeming need to advertise the Power of Now in order to get people to sign up for the course. It seemed Roshi talked little of actual practice as it relates to the book, but more about how he agreed with it in his own way, and how his words and meanings were similar to Tolle’s. This is not what I expected, especially from a renown Zen master.
Either way, I look forward to the rest of the course, and hope it concentrates more on practical applications of the Now than in how each person articulates the same thing in different ways. We all know how great you are, but that is not why we tune in.
Peace.
Thanks for this, TP. We can all use constructive feedback and accountability on our path, even (especially?) Zen masters.
