BIOGRAPHY

My passion for helping men transform conflict and build successful intimate relationships grew out of my own relationship struggles and successes, and from discovering my own amazing capacity for change.

A former Program Facilitator and Resident Steward at Linnaea Farm (a unique land trust, intentional community and educational facility committed to Conservation, Education, and Sustainability), I became aware that my efforts toward “sustainability” were creating a lifestyle that was, well, unsustainable. I was having a very healthy and excruciating crisis of values, questioning what was truly important to me.

In 2002 I made the difficult decision to leave my dysfunctional marriage and tenured position. And at some point, I made a commitment to do this WELL, to use this potentially devastating experience to move me forward and break me open to what was trying to emerge - while honouring my ex-wife, continuing to co-parent my son, AND stay true to my sense of values and purpose.

This crucial commitment brought me to the Hakomi Method of mindfulness-based, body-centred assisted self discovery and to Professional Coaching. Like many before me, I decided to use my own experience as a catalyst to help others. 

While completing my initial three years of training, supervision and mentoring in Hakomi and Coaching methodology, I was introduced to a relationship model called “Gender Synergy” that quickly turned my personal relationship difficulties around and provided a sharp area of focus for my growing practice: helping men create successful relationships.

Now I teach the principles of Gender Synergy to men, women and couples who want happier, loving, successful relationships.

I live in Vancouver, Beautiful British Columbia with my beloved wife Kim and daughter Willa. My son Emmett continues to live happily at Linnaea Farm and comes to stay with us often.
